Fiona undertakes a wide range of family, civil and criminal work.
Fiona has a busy family practice which includes all aspects of family law including private and public law matters relating to children, as well as ancillary relief. She has experience of cases raising issues of domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse, neglect and mental health difficulties within public law proceedings, and of acting on residence and contact applications including fact-findings and in relation to specific issue applications and injunctions under the Family Law Act 1996.
Fiona also undertakes a wide range of civil work, representing both Claimants and Defendants in small claim and fast track trials, together with interim applications, credit hire cases, infant approval hearings (including Stage 3 hearings).
She has a particular interest in social housing and undertakes all types of contested possession and disrepair claims, as well as homelessness applications, anti-social behaviour and closure orders.
Fiona both prosecutes and defends in criminal trials, acting regularly for the CPS across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. She has extensive experience of traffic related matters, in particular Special Reasons and Exceptional Hardship arguments. Fiona appears regularly in the Crown Court as well as the Magistrates' courts across the region and is a Level 1 Panel Advocate for the CPS.
