Following several years as a professional orchestral musician, Christopher was called to the Bar in 2000 and has since developed a busy civil, employment and costs practice.
He was appointed as Junior Counsel to the Crown (Regional Panel) in November 2007 (for a period of five years) and became a Deputy District Judge in 2010.
He is also "recommended" in Legal 500 (2011) for his wide-ranging employment work.

Christopher is regularly instructed to appear in detailed assessment hearings across the country.
Olden v Crown Prosecution Service [2010] EWCA Civ 961. In this case the Appellant had been the subject of a restraint order, which was subsequently discharged when he was acquitted of the offences that led to the order being imposed. The appeal was concerned with Appellant's entitlement to costs arising out of the restraint order.
Uwanya-Odu and another v Schools Offices Services and another UKEAT/0294/05/ZT (Independent, 1st December 2005; LTL 01/12/2005.). This case dealt with strike out provisions under Rule 13(2) of the Employment Tribunals (Constitution and Rules of Procedure) Regulations 2004 and is discussed in depth in the Solicitors Journal (S.J. 2005, Vol.149 No.47 page 1479).
Christopher continues to play the trumpet professionally, albeit on a reduced scale, and performs regularly with The Sixteen under Harry Christophers.
Christopher is a registered pupil supervisor and head of the Chambers Pupillage Committee.
