Luke Brown

Barrister (Call Date: 2000)
Luke Brown

an eloquent and persuasive barrister”

After reading History at University College, Durham, Luke obtained First Class Honours in Law in London. He progressed through the Inns of Court School of Law and was called to the Bar in 2000. Whilst in London Luke worked as an editor at LAWTEL, the online legal publisher, and was responsible for the creation of its Local Government Service.

Having been born and brought up on the Essex/Suffolk border, East Anglian Chambers was Luke’s natural choice for tenancy.

Luke is particularly noted for his ability in public law care proceedings where he has been described as “a fearless and powerful advocate…”; and “an eloquent and persuasive barrister”.

Luke prides himself on his robust, no nonsense advice to clients, whilst recognising the need to be sensitive to his client’s demands.  Luke is very mindful, for example, when representing parents of the need to reach conclusions collectively rather than dictate his own opinion. For Luke, thorough preparation is key.
