Congratulations to East Anglian Chamber’s Five-Aside Team

As a set of barristers, we try where we can to get involved in our local community as well as raise a little money for good causes. On this occasion, we sought to raise money for ARU law clinic (run by Anglia Ruskin University) in which a number of barristers volunteer giving pro bono legal advice through its Chelmsford legal advice centre. Our team valiently played in atrocious conditions in February in the Business Fives Colchester five-aside competition getting through to the last 16 before being knocked out by the eventual winners. Particular praise is due to Alex Souter-Green and Jake Newell who both had trips to A & E afterwards.

We are pleased to have raised £254.81 for the ARU law clinic and look forward to them being able to apply those funds to their great work in the local Essex community.
