East Anglian Chambers welcomes new tenant, Laura Austin

East Anglian Chambers is delighted to announce that Laura Austin will be joining us as a new tenant from 1st September 2025.

Laura brings a wealth of experience, specialising in regulatory enforcement, business crime, local government, inquests, and tribunals. She has an established history of representing both private and public sector clients.

Her extensive practice areas include:

  • Civil Law: Expertise in contested claims, debt recovery, possession proceedings, and various injunctions, including Forced Marriage Protection Orders.
  • Regulatory & Local Government: Handling applications under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, and applications on behalf of Constabularies (DVPOs, SHPOs, SPOs). Her work also covers Health and Safety, Fire, Trading Standards, Education, Planning, Highways, and Fly-tipping cases.
  • Inquests & Court of Protection: A strong practice advising and representing Constabularies and Local Authorities in Inquests, alongside experience in Court of Protection proceedings.

In addition to her practice, Laura sits as a Tribunal Judge, a Legally Qualified Person for the Police Misconduct Tribunal, and is a Judicial Member of the FA Panel. Her experience also extends to conducting independent investigations for disciplinary and grievance procedures.
