Norwich Legal Walk 2016

25 March 2016

EA Law – East Anglian Chambers to field team for this year’s ELST Legal Walk.

Having supported the work of the Eastern Legal Support Trust by participating since the outset in Legal Walks in Cambridge, Colchester, Norwich, Ipswich and – last year – Chelmsford, the barristers and staff at EA Law – East Anglian Chambers are pleased again to participate in this year’s Norwich Legal Walk. Led by Head of Chambers Graham Sinclair we shall be joining UEA / Norwich Law School, Norfolk & Norwich Law Society and many law firms and advice agencies on Monday 18th April 2016 for a sponsored walk across the city.

The legal profession has directly witnessed the effect of the recession on our clients. Increased poverty and the consequential need for free legal advice services has clashed with the reduction in funding for both the profession and legal support services.

The aim of the ELST, like similar trusts in London and across the country, is to improve access to justice for the most vulnerable in society by raising funds and distributing them to organisations that support those who need legal help but cannot afford it. Receiving legal help makes an enormous difference to people’s lives, helping to reduce debt, poverty and suffering.

All contributions to this vital cause through our Mydonate sponsorship page will be very gratefully received. Please click here to donate.
