Pupil Lucy Barnes to speak at 2025 Intermediaries for Justice conference on 26th September 2025

Lucy Barnes is speaking alongside an esteemed panel of practitioners on intermediaries, the recent case of Re M (A Child: Intermediaries) [2025] EWCA Civ 440 and the importance of trauma-informed practices in family justice, particularly in relation to her care-experienced community. Lucy’s talk will cover:
- The importance of trauma-informed principles and trauma-informed training for vulnerable people in the family justice system;
- Understanding individual needs particularly for care-experienced individuals and “speaking the language of care experience”;
