Retirement of Kate Miller

East Anglian Chambers announces the retirement of Kate Miller, who joined Chambers in 2007.
During her time at Chambers, Kate served with distinction as Treasurer and later as Head of Chambers. As well as her leadership and service to Chambers, Kate has been a valued member of the family team. Barrister Shona Harvey said: “Chambers has been incredibly lucky to have had Kate as our Head. She embodies a rare blend of warmth, empathy and compassion with a steely, formidable strength and she has always, unhesitatingly, stood up for Chambers, its members and what she believes is right. It has genuinely been a privilege to work with her and I will not be the only one to miss her kindness and common sense.”
Rupert Myers added: “Kate was a barrister with real integrity and dedication. As a colleague she will be much-missed.”
Nick Jack, current Head of Chambers, said: “Whilst we are very sad to see Kate leave we want to wish her a very long and happy retirement. Kate has been a fantastic leader and friend to Chambers. We want to express our sincere gratitude for everything Kate has done for Chambers. Not only has she been a highly skilled treasurer and Head of Chambers she has also been a much valued member of the family team. She will be sorely missed. Our loss is her garden’s gain!! ”
