Victoria specialises in local government, regulatory and public law matters and regularly acts for local authorities in the following areas:

Victoria also provides advice to local authorities and public bodies on their powers, on matters of procedure and investigations and is experienced in acting as legal adviser to committees.
Victoria is experienced in advising upon and defending judicial review proceedings in addition to discrimination claims and advising on the application of the Public Sector Equality Duty.
In addition to her regulatory expertise, Victoria is experienced in education matters and provides advice and assistance in Independent Review Panel proceedings and disability related discrimination. Victoria has recently been appointed as a fee-paid judge of the First-tier Tribunal Health and Social Care Chamber in the SEND jurisdiction.
Victoria has also represented Trading Standards, the RSPCA, HMRC, The Border Agency, The Environment Agency and police authorities in civil proceedings and applications.
With substantial advocacy experience for her call, Victoria has experience of appearing in a range of courts and tribunals from the magistrates and county court, tribunals, high court, Court of Appeal and independent review panels. Her experience and expertise draws on her time with the Crown Prosecution Service pre and post call and in-house legal work within local government. Victoria has also undertaken the role of Deputy Monitoring Officer.
