Charlotte Youdan

Charlotte Youdan is an experienced Family Lawyer, qualified as a solicitor in 2006, and has sat as a Family Recorder since October 2015. Charlotte was called to the Bar in July 2021 where she practised in the south east, prior to joining East Anglian Chambers in January 2024.

As a solicitor and barrister, Charlotte has specialised in Children Law. Her practice consists of mainly representing Guardians, children and young people across all Courts but also parents, grandparents and prospective adopters in Public and Private Children Act proceedings. Charlotte is regularly instructed by local authorities in care proceedings. She has been a Member of the Law Society Children Panel since 2010.

Charlotte has significant experience in all aspects of children’s proceedings, in particular cases which involve allegations of abuse of children, non-accidental injury and sexual abuse.

Children (Private Law)
Charlotte has experience in representing parents, grandparents, children, interveners and guardians, thus has a rounded understanding of the issues and concerns of all parties in private law proceedings. Charlotte also acts in cases that require a rule 16.4 guardian, involving permission to remove children from England and Wales, and where special guardianship orders are sought.
