Joanna Rose

Joanna commenced pupillage in February 2026 under the supervision of Katie Ross. She is currently in the practising period of pupillage under the supervision of Christopher Foster and accepts instructions across all areas of Chambers’ practice. In particular, she is developing a specialism in relation to family matters, including:

  • Private law children proceedings
  • Public law children proceedings
  • Financial remedy proceedings
  • Applications under the Family Law Act 1996

For over half a decade, Joanna worked as a paralegal within a prominent London and Essex law firm focusing on family law. She acquired sharp insight into the realities of litigation as well as ADR while closely assisting the head of the family department, and possesses robust advocacy skills.

Joanna previously worked at Stratford and Thames Magistrates’ Court alongside the CPS whereby she facilitated strategic court-based services for vulnerable individuals on behalf of the local authority.

During her International Law LLB degree, Joanna was the winner of a first-year prize from her Law School and the recipient of an academic exchange to Hong Kong. Prior to pupillage, Joanna was selected for a prestigious mooting competition at the London School of Economics where she represented the City Law School.

Outside of practice, Joanna enjoys Pilates and CrossFit.
