Oliver commenced pupillage in October 2025 under the supervision of Nicholas Michael and Michael Allin. He is currently in the practising period of pupillage and accepts instructions across all areas of Chambers’ practice.
During his non-practising period, Oliver assisted on a wide range of complex matters across family, civil and regulatory practice areas.
His family work includes assisting in a Hague Convention matter concerning the retention, in the UK, of a child habitually resident in the United States.
His civil work includes assisting in complex contested probate matters, including a donatio mortis causa claim and claims challenging testamentary capacity. He has also assisted in high-value boundary, contractual and construction disputes, as well as GDPR claims.
On the regulatory side, Oliver assisted in prosecutions brought by fire authorities and in planning enforcement matters.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Oliver worked in the engineering and construction sectors as a project manager, overseeing high-value defence and construction portfolios. He has a particular interest in construction, planning and real property disputes and brings substantial industry insight to his practice.
Oliver was awarded the Dame Joyanne Bracewell and Elizabeth Ann Curnow Scholarships by Gray’s Inn and is the recipient of the ICLR Pupillage Award 2025.
